Lowry Park Zoo

We purchased zoo passes last year, and we've enjoyed them sooo much. A couple Saturdays ago, we decided to zip out there for the day b/c the weather was nice. Kyle and I agreed that it turned out to be one of the best days we've ever had. We went to the zoo and had a blast, then went to Outback on a gift card from one of his realtors. When we got home, we got Maddie and took a walk to the park to play. That day, I couldn't thank God enough for the blessings He has given me!

Ava kept asking "I go in there?" Needless to say, she was enamored with the African penguins.

Ava and Kyle up close and personal with the giraffe. You can buy a cracker to feed them, but Ava wouldn't get THAT close!

This is how close we were to them...and I didn't zoom in at all. In fact, I had to step back to get his whole head in the shot!

Ava was not so convinced that she wanted to be so close to the goats. Personally, I was just watching out for the llama. There were signs on the fence as we walked in that warned that they spit! No thanks!!

Kyle and Ava as we were leaving. Pardon the strange lady in the background...didn't know she was in the shot when I snapped the picture!

Having fun at the park down the street from our house!

Right before we left the park, we sat on the swing by the lake. The sunset was gorgeous, don't you think?"Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100:3-5

A few recent pics per request...

Corbin loves his Daddy...and the Baby Bjorn! Please ignore our dead bougainvillea in the background. Our recent abnormally cold weather scorched it. ugh...

Can you tell this sweet baby loves life? He is such a happy little guy.

Here's Ava resting after dancing to her Mickey Sing-a-long.

More cousins

We recently snapped a few pics of Ava and Corbin with "Nah-nee and Mats", as Ava calls them with her little lisp. :) She is thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread! (Of course, Kyle and I do, too.)

Worst blogger ever

Can't even believe I haven't updated this thing since November. Needless to say, much has occurred in the past few months. Christmas was so much fun this year since Ava was so into it. Every time we got into the car, she began begging to see "pitty lights." Every night from Thanksgiving on, we read "Rudolph, the rah-deeah" and "ki-mas" ("The Night Before Christmas") The drive to Alabama was less than pleasant (as you can imagine with a 2-year-old and 3 month old!) Once we got there, though, we had a blast. Ava is in love with Pops' cows, playing with her fun cousin, Brenna, and (as we found out) turning on Nanna's treadmill with no adult supervision--AHHH!! I must add that the trip home was much more pleasant. I think God knew we couldn't have coped with much more!

Here are the two partners in crime:

I am absolutely in love with this picture because it shows both the girls' personalities so well.

We did manage to leave milk and cookies for Santa (a 100-calorie pack, I might add.)

Daddy got Corbin to cackling--not just laughing--throwing his head back and cackling. There is nothing sweeter than watching your babies with your parents! :)

October

October has been quite a busy month for us. With a two-year-old, a newborn, and lots of family coming and going, we've been running non-stop. Ava is adjusting to Corbin as well as can be expected. And--drum roll, please.....she counted to ten all by herself today!! She's getting to be such a big girl. Well, here are some recent pics!

Here's the big girl at her 2nd birthday party. We celebrated none other than a Pooh cake--since she asks every five minutes of every day, "I watch..Pooh..pease."

We took this picture of her on her actual birthday...sporting the breath-taking jewelry and shoes from her friend, Sydney. :) She's measuring 36.75"...which is off the charts for height. Hmm. She definitely didn't get that from Mommy!

Here are two of my three favorite people. I just couldn't love 'em any more!

My two sweet babies with the "punt-nin", as Ava calls it.

Check out those killer blue eyes and that blonde hair!!
I thought I'd include a shot of the huge group we went Trick-or-Treating with. It was tons of fun for all of us! I apologize for the poor quality of the Halloween pics. I think my camera's about to bite the dust.

Does she look thrilled, or what? She was pretty unsure of the whole scary element of Trick-or-Treating. However, don't be deceived. By the end of the night, she was taking down candy faster than you could think possible!

He's here!

Well, on September 21st, our sweet boy finally arrived. Corbin Glenn is doing great, and he's a darling. His blonde hair is the craziest thing. We praise God that we have been blessed with two healthy children! Ava is very much in love with him...so much that she can't keep her hands and lips off of him! :) Thanks for all your prayers! Here are a few pics.
