We haven't fallen off the face of the earth!

Yes, I recognize that I haven't updated in ages, but here's what's gone on as of late.

Have I mentioned that these two love to color?

Or that our son is not lacking in spunk and personality. It doesn't just ooze out of him...there's so much that it gushes out.

Look at that face. Do you think he likes Elmo?

Somehow this ended up sideways. This is Ava in her big girl bed (our amazing Craig's List find that was brand new). She thinks she is hot stuff, let me tell you.

The goat farm down the street from Mama and Daddy. She has a love for animals like no others. She says she wants to be a "betenawian."

The cute little man hunting eggs with his 3 inch legs. The kid got a double dose of the "long upper body, short leg" gene...from Kyle and Daddy. haha

Spiderman is serious business...and so is that beloved blanket.

My precious little chocolate face who loves to swim but hates swimming lessons. She is quite possibly the most affectionate 3 1/2 year old I've ever known. And it brings so much joy to my heart. I'm trying to stock up b/c I know the middle school years will be here before we know it. haha

Easter morning. The only way we could get a decent shot was to let each of them hold one of their favorite things. If you know them very well, this picture will speak volumes.

Prayers, please

I have a dear friend named Brandi. She and I have been best pals since the first day of kindergarten. She, along with her husband and two kids, are missionaries in Chiquimula, Guatemala. The past few days they have gotten more rain than usual. They are in a mountainous area. Parts of the mountain have collapsed and homes are falling. Here is her latest blog post. www.eyeswideopenministries.blogspot.com

Please pray for the people there. It's catastrophic events like this that make me realize that all of our belongings are temporal, and the condition of our souls is most important. It also reminds me of how physically blessed I am. Thanks!!

Corbin's not-so-subtle reaction to Carrots

Corbin is not taking to baby food QUITE like Ava did. She ate anything and everything we offered. He either gags or makes a sour face coupled with shivers. It's simply hilarious. Thought you might get a kick out of it, too. :)

Lowry Park Zoo

We purchased zoo passes last year, and we've enjoyed them sooo much. A couple Saturdays ago, we decided to zip out there for the day b/c the weather was nice. Kyle and I agreed that it turned out to be one of the best days we've ever had. We went to the zoo and had a blast, then went to Outback on a gift card from one of his realtors. When we got home, we got Maddie and took a walk to the park to play. That day, I couldn't thank God enough for the blessings He has given me!

Ava kept asking "I go in there?" Needless to say, she was enamored with the African penguins.

Ava and Kyle up close and personal with the giraffe. You can buy a cracker to feed them, but Ava wouldn't get THAT close!

This is how close we were to them...and I didn't zoom in at all. In fact, I had to step back to get his whole head in the shot!

Ava was not so convinced that she wanted to be so close to the goats. Personally, I was just watching out for the llama. There were signs on the fence as we walked in that warned that they spit! No thanks!!

Kyle and Ava as we were leaving. Pardon the strange lady in the background...didn't know she was in the shot when I snapped the picture!

Having fun at the park down the street from our house!

Right before we left the park, we sat on the swing by the lake. The sunset was gorgeous, don't you think?"Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100:3-5

A few recent pics per request...

Corbin loves his Daddy...and the Baby Bjorn! Please ignore our dead bougainvillea in the background. Our recent abnormally cold weather scorched it. ugh...

Can you tell this sweet baby loves life? He is such a happy little guy.

Here's Ava resting after dancing to her Mickey Sing-a-long.
